The South Hills Middle School (SHMS) Boys tennis season started like the leaving-winter lion (harsh); delayed try-outs, cancelled practices and matches due to cold and wet weather. Your SHMS Blackhawk Boys didn’t waiver, didn’t complain, didn’t whine…they kept showing up to practice/tryouts even in the snow fall, they kept trying to play, and they keep trying to compete!  Our team practices try to embody “the whole Tennis” including warmup routine, mini-tennis, half-court, singles, doubles, serving and variety of games to showcase and promote skills, communication, leadership, strengths, and strategy.   I think today’s match results reflect the effect of “the whole Tennis” and continue to positively affect our results for upcoming tougher teams so our season feels like a lamb (easy). 

                SHMS (vs NHMS) singles performance showed respect, professionalism and leadership as they quickly took down their Northern Blackhawk Brethren with across-the-board significant wins in the following lineup:
